It's no April Fool's joke:  you, too, can take home a growler of beer that is brewed with coffee beans that have passed through the digestive tract of the civet cat.  We'll be sampling 5 drafts from Mikkeller at New Beer Distributors.  We hope you can join us!

When: Friday, 1 April, 3:30 - 6:30 pm
Where:  New Beer Distributors, 167 Chrystie Street (between Rivington & Delancey)

Come on down to New Beer Distributors for a taste of Denmark's Mikkeller.  We'll be pouring samples of 5 of the gypsy-brewer's beers and you can purchase growlers to go (bring your own or pick one up there).  New Beer also has a mighty fine selection of Mikkeller bottles including the newly released Beer Hop Breakfast.

Green Gold - American-style IPA with aromatic Simcoe, Amarillo, and Cascade hops, 6.9% abv
The American Dream - legally we're not allowed to call this beer by its official name here and have changed it to "Danish Dream" for the US. It's a crisp lager with lots of American hops, 4.6% abv
US Alive - new version of "It's Alive!", a tribute to Orval with Brettanomyces yeast. The difference between the two is that US Alive is brewed with American hops, 7.5% abv
Beer Geek Brunch, aka Weasel - imperial oatmeal coffee stout brewed with civet coffee, 10.9%

Koppi - coffee IPA made in collaboration with the Swedish coffee geeks, Koppi.  Hopped with Tomahawk and brewed with Guji Natural coffee, 6.9% abv.  "Coffee IPA?", you ask? Mikkel's friend Thomas explains it for us:
